Family Vacation

So our family vacation happened back in August, but I’m just now getting around to posting about it…haha.  Life has been very crazy this semester.  But anyway… We decided to go to Gulf Shores for a week.  Thus…we began our journey… Here is Mr. Spider enjoying some music along the way… On the way there, […]

Woodsy Wanderings…

Today was such a beautiful day outside that I decided to go on a walk and postpone my studying till later.  I took my camera with me, to take pictures of whatever interesting things I might happen to see. By the way, one of these days I really do want to get around to posting […]

Storytime…

Once upon a time, in a far-away land, there lived a girl named Katherine. Here is Katherine with her best friend Susie the Doll.  (Katherine is the one on the right side of the picture.) Sadly, one day Susie got taken to Salvation Army (or maybe it was Goodwill) and poor Katherine lost her best […]

Playing on the Pond

So, down here in the balmy South, my family doesn’t get to see truly cold weather very often.  Temperatures usually hover in the 30s, 40s, or maybe 20s (if we get lucky) for most of the winter.  However, these past few days, we’ve had some unusual cold down here…nothing like Alaska, but it’s been fun.  The […]

Trip Home

Despite all the fun I had on my travels, I was truly looking forward to getting home. Most of the pictures I took on the way home aren’t worth putting on here, but I will post a few… That last one is my favorite.   It’s good to be home.  (Except for the fact that […]

Modern Art in Indianapolis

After we finished with the zoo, we still had some time to kill before my other relatives showed up.  We walked out over a long bridge (on the left) toward the city of Indianapolis. All the way down the center of this bridge were works of modern art, each with its own little sign explaining in […]

Some Random Stories For Your Day

I am sitting at work listening to the worst thunderstorm I have seen in a while going on outside.  I would have taken a picture of the greenest storm cloud I’ve ever seen except that my camera was in the truck and I didn’t want to walk through all that thunder and lightening and winds […]

The Demise of Mr. Beef

The same day the pine tree came down, my dad made plans to take our steer, Mr. Beef, to be butchered.  Our freezer is now full of meat. Dad and my brother had to rig up a slightly elaborate system to get Mr. Beef in the trailer–(he had no desire to become packaged ground beef.) Here […]

Today’s Lesson…

Thanks to an educational workshop with my 16-year-old brother, I now officially know how to change a flat tire on my vehicle.  So now if I get a flat tire in the future, I won’t have to undertake the risky position of being a “damsel in distress.”

What happened to me Friday afteroon…

Last Friday, I was hanging out at a friend’s house.  While sitting in a chair taking happy pictures of our socks, we discussed what we should do that afternoon. At length we decided that we would go on a long picture-taking adventure.  So, we happily grabbed our cameras and set out on what would turn […]
